Assuming you are using a clean mIRC the manual way of adding nicks to your aop list is by...
clicking the address book icon at the top of mIRC
go to Control tab
make sure list type is set to Op
Put a check(tick) in the enabled box
click Add
type in the nick, channel and network
click Ok Ok
job done.
