I think you should just sent :-) or something, and it would be translated to an emoticon in mIRC. No hassle of typing wrong things and stuff
But IF it will ever be in, i should be able to turn it off
Maybe make a big smiley listing, where you can add and remove your own smilies, in the options dialog. A bit like the highlight thing
