This might be a bit confusing, but I will try my best to explain it.
I open up a connection to server A, but I do not connect, I then use /server -m to open up a connection to Server B, if Server B connects, mIRC crashes of some unknown reason; the reason though it crashes is if I have at least one unconnected server open, and I try to connect with another it hates it.
I must be connected on all connections before I open up another connection, otherwise mIRC crashes.
It doesn't crash when I use /server -m, it actually connects to the server, mIRC crashes, my HDD goes insane, and there is massive system lag.
I found out one day, if I leave mIRC for a period of time (something like 10minutes-1hr) it 'uncrashes' and returns to normal.
I have tested this with both 6.01, 6.02, and 6.03, with and without scripts loaded in mIRC, fresh and old copies; all returning the same results.
These are my system stats:
Windows XP Home Edition (5.1 - 2600)
Memory: 100/128MB (78.13%)
CPU Info: 1-Intel Pentium 4, 2019MHz, 512KB (14% Load
Hard Disks: C:\: 55.9/12.75GB
Connection/Network Interfaces: (#1 (Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC - Packet Scheduler Miniport (100Mb/s) 17.08MB In, 0.31MB Out) #2(WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface (50Kb/s) 6.01MB In, 0.70MB Out))
If anyone has any info relating to this, I will greatly apprieciate it, I have had this issue since I got this new computer and that has been about a year.
