I parsed
versions.txt to convert all release dates to ctimes, then used Vernier Software's Graphical Analysis to graph ctime-since-first-version vs. version number. I noticed it looked like a square root function, which is really a power function, so I told the software to fit a power function to the data. It gave me the equation and showed the curve on the data, and it looked good. I then solved the function for its variable to get a function I can use to predict the release date of a future version of mIRC. I assumed the next version will be 6.1, since it is taking so long, so I plugged it in. The date I came up with:
Jan 2, 2003.
Apparently Khaled is getting slow in his old age, or something
