Without seeing the URL's I can't really test it.
Minor additions..
1. You don't need to set a var, sockread %<Var> stores the data already.
2. You have one too many } braces.
3. Maybe you should use Khaled's on Sockread example from the help file. It's alot cleaner.
4. Paste the code with the URL and page to GET.
