1. Is it mirc oem No. 2. Was it made by Khaled No. 3. Is there a readme in the file Most likely. 4. Does the creator have a website and or forum Another possibility. 5. Should you check out options 3 and for first Yes.

no it didnt have a file it came with a google search i downloaded, to check code, then when i figured out 1 of the features(to open internet/programs in @windows) i decided it must have more useful features, yes i was right, it gives mirc a refresh option for when u get stuck in loops, it also allows using html in dialogs. yes the person does have a forum, i believe the creator was exonyte, not sure though, but i know he knows it well, so i asked him several times(not flooding) and i havent had a single reply since 3 months ago when i posted it.

Keep in mind not all AV's catch any and everything...I've caught more viruses with AVG than norton an mcaffe combined...

I think all the popular websites are reasonably trustworthy otherwise they would not be popular with the clientelle they attract. However I am one who puts nothing to chance and Imake sure that AV software is updated everyday and I scan EVERYTHING before running it. Even commercial stuff like Office and even mIRC. This isn't to knock the things I use, it is just called being careful.

i know but if ive had this file for at least a month, i would think i would of at least noticed a change in my system, i also have a program that alerts me when an unknown change in registry occurs when the program isnt on my "trusted programs list"

also would you rather see a site that says: no files are checked using antivirus software, or 1 that assures you they have done their best to make sure?

What if sites gave a 'guarantee' that their downloadable stuff was virus free, then turned out not to be? What's stopping any old site giving such a guarantee? Personally, I'd like to see sites - especially reputable ones - give a warning to the effect that while every effort has been made to check files for viri/trojans etc, the ultimate responsibility lies with the user.
Never compare yourself to others - they're more screwed up than you think.
