/rename file.mpg file.mp3
/splay file.mp3

You shan't close the activex window though, use /splay stop for proper termination.

You can only make it play mpg's in a special (system) window, which can't be controlled at all.

When the movie ends, the window is automatically closed and an "on mp3end" event is triggered.

Stick this in your popups/channel or you can change the $getdir to the path to your favorite folder.

Code:
  [color:red]
 Run:run [ $$hfile="Enter the file to play..." $getdir ]
 [/color]
