Forums Bug Reports Text Being Replaced

Recently this has been happening more and more. Text is being replaced by other text and sometimes it's simply replaced by a black block.

The only way to see the actual text is to highlight it.
How do I fix this?

For what it's worth, I have seen something similar two or three times on my PC at home. After I exited a fullscreen game, a single full-width line of the active mIRC window would be replaced by the corresponding portion of the desktop background. Indeed, highlighting would reveal the text, only to return to the background afterwards. Only getting mIRC to actually redraw the text (e.g. by resizing the window) would solve it. I always figured it was a graphics driver/card problem rather than a mIRC bug, and to be honest I suspect that that's the case for you as well. My PC has some ATI Radeon HD card and runs Vista by the way.

It's only recently started happening. I've had it for a rather long time now.

I recently had something similar. It turned out to be a memory issue from a badly memory hogging appy. Reboot fixed (as well as discussion with memory hog developer -- it's beta I'm helping with).
