So I use birc server and mirc as my client. I use dyndns as an easy dns to give out to friends. It's been working GREAT for YEARS until 3 days ago.

Suddenly I'm getting "Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)"

When I try to connect via my dydns.org address it gives me that. When I try to connect via my IP address (24.188.21..etc.) I get that.

However, when I connect via my internal address 192.168.1.100 I connect just fine.

Everyone else can connect to me via dyndns.org or my IP address. What the heck?

mIRC 7.1
birc (the last version)
Vista (latest updates)
norton 360 3.8.0.41
linksys router WRT54G

I've disabled norton. Check my port forwarding. I'm at a loss.

1) Can other ppl connect to your server from your direct IP?
2) Can you connect to the server using 127.0.0.1 and/or localhost?
3) Is the server running(I know, it's a dumb question but is at times over looked)
4) Is the server set to run under admin, as a service?
