Forums Connection Issues * [10053] Software caused connection abort

For some reason I keep getting:



Every single day at roughly 7-8 PM for like a week now. ... and everything else seems to work fine, MSN, the internet, etc.

Anyone know how I can resolve this annoying issue?

You could verify you don't have any timers going off at that time, but most likely it's something on the network or your ISP's end.

I've only got one timer running, and that's to update my titlebar. 'bout it.

I am having the SAME EXACT issue. But I get connected for about 5 seconds and it does this to me. I haven't changed any settings on my router or changed ISP's and this is happening. I hope someone can help soon!

I should really elaborate on this by saying it'll work fine for most of the day, then between 7-8 ish PM it'll just disconnect from all IRC networks for "some reason".

And oddly enough it's the only thing that'll refuse to work for 'bout 30m-1h+.

It stays disconnected for 30min-1hr? Is that from all networks? If so, I would be willing to bet that your ISP is running something, such as a backup, at that time and it is affect mIRC. mIRC is not quite as stable with stuff like that as other programs.

Yup, every single network apart from localhost.

Could it possibly be anything else?
