Dear All,

I'm running a Bot in a channel, on a machine that i have to access via pcAnywhere as I don't have a monitor for the machine. Some times I receive a PM, but because I have a power supply issue at the moment and my machine shuts off, I loose PM's

Is there a script out there, that can cause the PM to be emailed to me? I have an internal email setup, so I could email it within my network?

Just curious is this is possible, or does it exsist already?

Regards.
Paul.

Is it possible? Sure. Has it already been written? You'd have to search.

But why not just log all PRIVMSGs and read the latest log when you get power back?

Until you get the power issue fixed, that is? smile

Yeah, I would say there are 2 easier ways.
You could make the bot pm you, when it receives a pm.
Or you can indead store all pm's in a certain log file, and just read that when you are able to.

I think that's a lot easier to create then writing an e-mail forwarding script.

I have my main conversations logged, buy for some reason my PM's don't log.

Is there a special setting to allow me to do this?

Alt + O ...IRC > Logging

At the top it says Automatically Log, click there and select 'log both'
