How can I find the total number of lines in a text file (not INI format)?

Any help is recieved with gratitude :-)

$lines(blah.txt)

yes and most users here dont simply input a reply to a message as a way to toss in thier poor education level by throwing out name calling as a way to make themselves seem superior to others ...... instead of offering HELP to others..... if u want to show your superior in any way admit ur wrong and offer help instead of rude comments

That's why I just commented it out without making any further comment about it, Thedude. I didn't really think that you meant it seriously because of your :tongue: on the end; however, the first 10 times that I read it, I was a little offended for his sake. To save any further hard feelings, I just snipped out the bits that would likely cause them...but I didn't delete the entire post. I felt that the way I left it let's the other readers insert their favorite friendly jab rather than going down the road your original comment leads them down.

Also, you just happened to post it when there have been a rash of other people who have just been plain stupid on these forums.

Now then...let's just forgive and forget and go on.
