opposite of /run? - mIRC Discussion Forums

like the /run C:\Program Files\file\file.exe is their a way to close an external app through mIRC

I dont belive this can be done. I have never seen a command that can do it. There might be a dll out there but have never looked.

Looking at the help file, I suspect that this might be done using COM Objects, however, since I've never worked with them I don't want to say for sure.

/run taskkill [/F (forcefull, forces it to quit)] /IM <process>

Processes can be killed by the process id or image name.

NOTE: Wildcard '*' for the /IM switch is accepted only with filters.

NOTE: Termination of remote processes will always be done forcefully
irrespective of whether /F option is specified or not.

TASKKILL /PID 1230 /PID 1241 /PID 1253 /T

I'm running on winxp MCE, so it *might* not be able to you, but I'd expect you to have it.
