if all companies would work slow as khaled does they would go bankrot
he could make MAJOR updates regarding vista after first 3 months
of RTM being released, other could wait for about half year
but waiting 1 year for compatibility is plain snail work
and not only frustrating but annoying.
myself, i dont give a damn since i dont use vista anymore
but many people or upgraded or bought pc with it
so if other compaines can rush and atleast make test versions
of their soft for vista and then upgrade it even more some time
later, then khaled especialy can do it.
There are a lot of companies that don't have, or won't ever have, Vista compatible versions of certain software products and they aren't going bankrupt. That's not logical to state that they would.
Now, consider this. Bugs and problems associated with Vista are not all found immediately. I really doubt Khaled would want to put out a version for every other Vista issue that gets found. That would be pointless. So putting out a release within even 4-5 months would be a waste of time. mIRC *works* in Vista. There's no reason to do a quickfix update to mIRC. If it didn't work, or major features didn't work, then Khaled would have released right away with fix(es) for those specific issues. However, the issues with mIRC and Vista are pretty minor and are not serious enough to make it worth putting a version out that only fixes a couple of things.
So, let's say Khaled decided to wait for 5 months to get as many problems found as possible, while also working on new features, changes, etc. And, from a programming standpoint, that is *very* realistic and reasonable. Then, figure that there is going to be a lot of testing to make sure it works. That's *easily* more than 6 months.
You didn't respond to a single thing I said before. Will you respond to it? Will you respond to this? Or are you just here to cause trouble? Flames without substance are the work of trolls and aren't worth the time of people to comment on, so unless you or someone else wants to make posts that are more than just flame posts, I'm done here.
