Recently i have installed a dell truemobile wireless router. i am using wireless on 1 system and patch cords on the other 2. on my main system (the one that isnt wireless) i usually conect to dalnet or efnet servers. now it saya banned:please set up ident. this is the exact error*** Banned: Install Identd for access (2001/4/18 09.20).
Few servers i can sign on to but i heard that a lot of servers require ident. i did a lot of net reseasch and am aware of problems with the dalnet servers and the fix for the linksys and netgear routers but cannot find one for this. i found a port forwarding option but it says that i need static ip adresses or it will not work.
well my isp has me dynamically assigned and i was wondering if there is a fix for it or any other server lists i can try on efnet. i am always signed onto irc.lightning.net. if anyone knows of a fix or similar server any ideas are greatly appreciated smile. Thanks in advance.

ok, i am still researching my issue. i called my isp and they want an additional 39.99 for 1 static ip and 5.95 each additional which is pretty high. i pay 39.99 for just a dynamic connection and an extra 39.99 on top of that is not worth it.if there is anyone that has a fix or suggestions please help me out.thanks.

ok in ur port forwarding can u assign instead of ur ip ....... but assign it to forward to ur hostname ....... example .... computername ...... some firewalls allow u to port forward to ur machines hostname instead of the ip ...... which makes it easier if ur on a non static ip
