I recently downloaded the latest version of mIRC and found once I had it installed and connected I can not right click on any names, there is no drop down menu for whois, query, nothing. When I right click in the middle of the chat window itself, I don't even get the option for channel modes. Is this something that has happened to anyone before, or did I just mess up somewhere along the way?

This situation has been brought up many times before.
The simplest solution, although this will only give you the default settings, is to copy the aliases.ini file from the Defaults directory off of your installation directory to your installation directory.
You can determine your installation directory by typing
Code:
//echo -a $mircdir

After you do that, you may need to:
1) open your Remote Editor (Alt + R)
2) click the Aliases tab
3) click View - Nicklist
4) select File - Load
5) select the Aliases.ini file in the installation directory.
6) close the Remote Editor
7) restart mIRC

I went to the remote script, went to view but all that was there was 1 aliases.ini,(which is check marked) nothing of a NickList.

My apologies. Rather than the Aliases tab, use the Pop-Ups tab.
