Forums mIRC Help starting problem

Hi all,

Ive been using mirc since 1998 and dont know whats the problem now. When I start it, nothing happens. mirc.exe appears in taskmanager's procecc list for about 1-2 seconds, then it kills itself. No error msg or anything else. I tried to uninstall, clean up the registry, reinstall, and the same weird thing happens. Ive got a latest version, but also tried with earlier ones. Im using win xp sp2 with the latest patches, no spyware was found by ad-aware, spybot search and destroy nor nod32.

This is usually due to an antivirus you may have running which thinks mIRC is a virus of some description. Shut down any antiviruses you have running and then see if mIRC starts. Make sure you have the latest virus definitions too.

I have no antivirus running nor any other programs that could cause this... i killed all other processes and the problem still occurs....
