Forums Connection Issues Unable to connect to mIRC servers

On 7/21/06 (Friday) I was able to connect thru mIRC to chat. Since Friday evening I cannot get a server to connect. I have tried all that I'm aware of that we use in our chat room and nothing seems to work. I even tried to go in thru the website on java and was unable to connect. Anyone know of any major problems with mIRC servers?

have you tried one of the "big 6"?

if you can't connect to any server it might be your ISP blocking IRC connections/certain ports.

have you installed any other software/hardware since last being able to chat?

Thank you, billythekid, for your response to my problem. I have tried all the 'big 6' servers with negative results. I did have a wireless router added to my system the same evening I was unable to connect to mIRC. I will have my installer go over the settings that he put on the computer. I have a feeling that is the problem.

I would almost guarantee it. Hope you get it fixed. make sure he forwards port 113 as well for ident.
