Forums Connection Issues Cant connect to any Mirc network or server!

Actually I connect to the point when it says it has found my hostname and then the connection dies before I can join any channel or anything, it just stops there. This started happening 3 days, before that everything was fine. I dont know what happened cause I didn't change any settings. This is what the Status window says:

Notice it stays at the Local Host for a minute and then disconnects. Very weird.

It may take a bit before you come across the right solution for you...and you might even have to combine two or more of the solutions given...Unfortunately this is a big problem, but no one seems to be able to figure out if it's a Windows XP problem or a mIRC problem.

Try with a fresh mIRC, from here I used to get the same error and always thought it was something errorneous from a mIRC script. Could try, atleast.

.edu? Are you connecting from a school/college/university, or some other network? That may be the problem. If so, contact the network administrator or IT professional.

Yeah, obviously it is a school but I didn't have problems 4 days ago, and I dont think the school is the problem. And I have a fresh mirc on my computer and it is not working.

This problem happens when you hard drive is too full. Make sure you always have a couple 100 mbs of extra hard drive space.
