Exactly. IRC and Skype are two different things. Skype is Instant Messaging.

personally see this SkypeMe mode is useless and an overkill.
While its quite easy to script that by making a small socket connection to
http://mystatus.skype.com/, add an CTCP reply or w/e. But coding an Entire protocol JUST to show Skype Status? Give me a break. Its not worth it.
