I've reinstalled and tested various combinations to no avail... it seems that the on OPEN remote event simply doesnt work,

I've done a fresh install and wrote a simple test script using the EXAMPLES from the help file and none of them work.

i've wrote hundreds of lines for my own script in .mrc files to do everything from swap text and filter spam to away modes and [censored] lists... so i know how what i'm doing...

if this isn't a BUG i'd like to know what it is.

are you sure you've used them in the form there are written?
perhaps you've made a typo
how bout your user list having default level > 1?
do you have any other on open events in the same file?

on open won't trigger for windows YOU open., nor for @windows.
