Are you using clean installation of mIRC?

Click the "Add" button.
In the next screen select Green as the color, "Message and Listbox" as the method, and uncheck all the other boxes except "Any mode" and "No mode".
Click Ok on that screen, and Ok on the address book. Do none of the nicknames in the nicklist turn green?

Try:
n0=*!*@*.staff.freenode,4,,,1,1,0,0,0

that didnt work either smirk are you sure that that host with wildcards can be used?

Make sure you are writing that line to the file while mIRC is closed, or it will be overwritten when you close mIRC, and so when you open it again the line will have gone and it won't work.

Hmm you'd be surpised what some people do :tongue:

Just had another thought about why it isn't working..do you have a full IAL of the users in the channels? Type //who # and it will update the IAL, that might fix it.

should i on join that? or do i only do it once? (it worked!!!)
Posted By: Collective Re: addressbook>colors - 31/08/03 03:23 PM
If you want it to always work you'll have to do it on join, although if I remember correctly some people call scripts like that a waste of the server's bandwidth and shout at people who do it.
