Having ON HOTLINK event in scripts, in 7.54 it doesn't work, but in 7.53 it works fine. Also, when hovering with mouse a nick in a channel (not in nick listbox), doesn't work too!
I've tested also with a clean mirc 7.54 with defaults values and the result is the same, but in previous versions it works fine.
Thanks for your bug report. I have not been able to reproduce an issue with the on HOTLINK event so far. I have also not been able to find any code changes between v7.53 and v7.54 related to hotlinks. Can you provide an example script that reproduces your issue?
Hm, today I started my Windows and is working all fine! I don't know what caused exactly, but I think it was a Windows 10 18305 Insider build issue.
I install 7.54 today.
I have the same problem as you describe.
Hotlink and nickname can't be pressed.
I have not been able to reproduce any issues with hotlinks in v7.54. There have been no changes between v7.53 and v7.54 relating to hotlinks. Are you using a Windows insider build? Have you tried rebooting? Are you using anti-virus software?
I have the same issue.Links are not working in 7.54
I tested in two different versions: 7.53 and 7.54.
7.537.54 - I use Windows 10 64-bit, build 17134.407.
- I set "portable" setting in mIRC setup.
This is a fresh mIRC install btw, no scripts or events are used.
Thanks for your post. Are you using anti-virus software? Which anti-virus software are you using? Have you tried rebooting?
I just tested this again, with a clean install, also using portable mode. I ran mIRC, typed "/echo http://example.com" and pressed enter in the Status window, and then right-clicked the mouse on the above link. It showed the "Open Link" etc. options and I was able to open the link a browser.
