MIRC Version 6.03 (Registered)
When using a standard jpg/bmp background for all windows, - if you have a query window open, along with one or more channels, when you open up a dcc chat window, the background of the query window will lose its background and revert to the default background color you have selected..

This is a repeatable bug, - atleast for me. It's been there since 6.03.

I am unable to reproduce this here. Can you describe a step by step method that reproduces this problem for you with a clean installation of mIRC?

maybe its better if you zip all files that you have with mirc (but with out the mirc.exe) and put it for download in your site or something, to see if someone else gets that bug...

I do not run external files, scripts, etc. on my system, nor should anyone else smile

The best way to report a bug (as indicated in the description for this section of the forum) is to describe a step by step method to reproduce the problem.

well, related to this....

1: you open a query to yourself, choose a background...
2: if you want, close the query window, does not matter
3: /dcc chat yourself (THROUGH IP)
4: the background in one of the two dcc chat windows, is gone

no problem if you dcc chat yourself through nickname

Step 1 :

Join two channels.

Step 2 :

query nickname

Step 3 :

dcc chat nickname

On dcc chat window opening, the background for the query window will disappear. i.e. the gif/jpeg you have assigned will be lost, and the default background color will appear.

I'm not sure what else I can add, but it's something that happens virtually every time I connect.

I have a clean WinXP system and run Sophos antivirus.
Thanks
-Ivan.
