copying special character channel names - 14/05/15 12:39 PM
Note: I'm running mIRC 7.41 on Windows 10 Preview build 10074
years ago (a decade?!) some like-minded weirdos and I created a channel for us to sit in. we made the poor decision of making the channel name a special character generated by hitting alt+XXX (3 digits) which produces a special character. In this case mIRC renders it as a "box" looking character. because some systems cant produce this character, various members have a ctcp listener which will invite you to the channel.
The bug: if you get invited to the channel and right click to "copy channel" ... mIRC crashes in horrible ways.
obscure, for sure ... but figured i'd mention it
