$tip name parameter

$tip name parameter - 17/03/11 04:49 AM

When giving two differents name to two $tip but the same title, the same tip is used, in fact the only way to get a new tip is to use a title that is not currently used.

I believe this is by design to allow similar tips to be grouped together (such as when connecting to a server and displaying those tips, or when receiving multiple messages from the same person). It makes sense to me to have it group similar tips together. Tips don't last that long before being removed if you don't click them, so you shouldn't have any real issues with them grouping when you don't want them grouped. If you do, then consider including a number at the beginning or end of the title to differentiate.

Looks like a bug to me.

Riamus that is surely an unwanted feature if it is indeed a feature, because you could just name the tip $network, $nick, etc if you wanted such grouping to take place.

Ok. Yes, if the grouping is changed to group on name rather than title, that would be better.

That's the bug, the grouping should be done on name.
