It seems $findfilen uses a 16-bit unsigned integer which results in it wrapping back to 0 upon reaching the 65536th file.

Experienced on Vista Ultimate 32-bit.

Confirmed on window xp too, $finddir is also affected

I mean $finddirn of course.

This still hasn't been fixed on mIRC 7.17 .
