[10053] Software caused connection abort
if anyone know how can i fix this plz tell me im sick of getting Dcd =/
That's not a bug in mIRC but rather one in your modem/router firmware.
so this line ( ?DCC SEND "ff???f?" 0 0 0 ) is screwing my router?"
it doesnt DC me from anything else only the IRC server i'm on at the time.
I didn't say that it did.
As Collective said, this is not a bug with mIRC, but one with your router, please see the following:
http://www.securityfocus.com/archive/1/archive/1/426756/100/0/threadedsimilar in behaviour to this bug (which affects the software firewall in Norton AV):
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/securityfix/2006/03/keylogger_utterance_spooks_nor.html
but there is a fix or something?
Make a search on this forum for this error, the first thing you should read is this :
https://forums.mirc.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=37425&page=1#Post37425
The fix is to either upgrade your router firmware or switch routers.
Contact your router manufacturer's support line if you need assistance with upgrading firmware, or if you want to yell at them for making you need to spend more money on a new one.
i think he is saying that when someone says that line he is being disconnected. like an exploit... but i was not able to reproduce it.

Exactly its an Exploit or something like that! T_T
Like Mtec007, I'm unable to duplicate this situation with anything except for a very specific script.
Can these results be duplicated using a clean installation of mIRC?
Are none of you people reading the links provided in this thread? perhaps you should actually read the comments before making one of your own. This is a known router exploit. It has nothing to do with mIRC and neither does the fix.
Ah ah, I should too, never head about this before.
I did read the threads, then tested to see if the vulnerability affected my router. It does not.
well this exploit never affect me..but for reason is affecting me now =/
this is not a script related error, i get it ocassionally
I found that by switching from psybnc to znc, this error was reduced significantly.
Please pay attention. The "DCC SEND" message posted by the original poster triggers a bug in his router, causing a disconnection from IRC with a 10053 error. However, many things can cause such a 10053 error, and by mentioning random other reasons, you are not helping the original poster.
