If I enabled "Multibyte characters"
sometime $strip can not strip control codes.

eg. I typed
//echo -a $strip($+(13, $chr(176), $chr(161), $chr(176), $chr(161), 9ABCDEFG))
However, the ABCDEFG is Green

Couldn't reproduce..what color do you have "Normal text" set to in the colours dialog? System specs?

I set the Normal text black.
And in my mIRC, half of the string is black(the purple color striped) and the other half of the string is green(not striped)

have you Enbale the multibyte characters (at IRC->messages of the option)?

What Font + Script (I mean the Western/Turkish/etc., not Remote scripts) are you using? Maybe that has an effect.

I'm using Chinese, but mIRC supports Chinese very pool frown
I have to write DLL to replace some mIRC command.
