As soon as I receive a file I get a windows error message...which looks like this



I tried downloading older versions of mIRC but problem resists.

Are you running anti-virus software? If so, it may be interfering with mIRC in some way. Have you tried disabling your anti-virus software and then downloading?

If the problem still happens, I would recommend that you uninstall mIRC completely, delete the mIRC folder where mIRC was installed, and then download and install a new copy of mIRC from the mIRC website to see if that resolves the problem.
