I have just installed mIRC v6.2 and realised that the /help command doesn't work. I'm not sure if this is just new restriction or a bug though.

I keep my *.hlp files in a $mircdir/system/ directory (like to keep my $mircdir clean from anything that isn't necissary), when the help files are located in there the help command doesn't work at all (via /help or F1). If the files are put in the $mircdir however, the files work perfectly.

*ADDITION* - The same thing happens when I go to the Help->Contents|Search (for hixxy's ref.)

In previous versions if mIRC couldn't find the help files, it would ask you to search for them, once found they would work perfectly.

Anyone else noticed a problem with this?

Have you tried opening the help file from the help menu?

alias help { /run winhlp32 $iif($1,-k $1) system\mirc.hlp }

There's a substitue until you find a better means of doing this.
