I'm making a script that uses a basic dialog (so far, anyway), and I've got a few icons that I plan on using within the dialog. When the icons load, the size of each icon (at least what I've tried: 17x17, 20x20 and 23x23) doesn't seem to matter. They all load with the same height and width within said dialog. I did a quick search for this before posting this thread, but I didn't find anything related. I'm note sure if this is a bug or just how mIRC was intentionally coded to implement icons, but I figured I'd acknowledge this, regardless. Also, these icons that I'm using are .ico files - I'm not sure if that's significant, but I thought I'd let it be known, also. Cheers. =)

while I have not tested this I do believe that mIRC treats .ico files differently than bmp jpg or (6.17) gif files.

you might try converting them to jpg and see if it makes a difference.

Yeah, that's what my original plan was. Though, anything other than .ico doesn't render transparency correctly (at least to my knowledge). I've tried .png, .bmp, .jpg, .gif, etc. But .ico seems to be the only one that'll work. Thanks for the reply, though. If anyone knows of any DLLs that'll make other images have transparency or how I could make these icons work, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. =)

The GIF protocol supports transparency, however I don't know if mIRC supports GIFs with transparency.

Thanks this has been fixed for the next bugfix release.
