felaktigt = "failure"
it's happend 3 times now...everything worked fine with 6.16.
i have no idea what causes the crash as i havnt been active when it happend..
Same error is occuring with the newly enabled SSL sockets - only much more apparent more immediately.
Perhaps it would help noting the version of OpenSSL you are using and maybe you are using an too old version of OpenSSL.
I'm using 0.98a and have the same problem. Must be a bug in mIRC.
Could you please state wether you were trying to connect to a server thru SSL or using the new /socket command addition?

I'm connecting to a server using ssl.
it's really weird though..it can work fine for a day or two then all the sudden it crashes
same thing here, it happened this night while i was connected since 2 days without probs, and yeah i'm using the latest OpenSSL
oh yeah, and it don't happen while i'm connecting, but while i'm already connected.
Thanks this should be fixed in the next bugfix release.
everytime the internet connection quit...mirc crash
ssleay32.dll
i have the newest Win32OpenSSL-v0.9.8a
on mirc 6.16 it works fine
plz fix this bug soon
thx
just to add some things. My mIRC crashes when using SSL sockets too, but I have noticed some weird things :
All I do is checking gmail.
1. It crashes on the third or fourth time, however, I echo a string on sockopen and it gets converted into irreadable chars of 4 symbols lenght when the socket closes.
2. If I change the echo into signal, which echos the the same text, my mirc crashes on the second time, saying
"if bad format, where the code is on *:signal:*: if ($1 == error) ....." That line works perfectly, if on the first time.
3. If I do like one ssl connection, one not-sll, the one ssl again it does not crash.
No problems with not-sll sockets.
