Iv noticed a bug in mIRC V6.16. You know the feature where you can minimize mIRC to the taskbar as an icon, so its not in the way? Well, sometimes if you do it to fast or try minimizing it while its opening - it doesnt seem to go to the taskbar at all and I cant open it. Windows says its loaded, and I have to kill the process and start a new client to connect back to IRC.

Its hard to explain how it happens, im a bit confused myself.

Anyone else have this?
Confirmed Here:

Windows 2000 SP4, 200MB Ram, Pentium II 350MHz

How Reproduce:
1) Open "mIRC Options" Dialog
2) Select: Display > Options > Tray..
3) Check "Place mIRC in tray when minimized"
4) Click ok
5) Click on minimize button
6) When in tray, click on the mIRC tray icon, and when mIRC appear in the switchbar, click on it as fast as possible.

mIRC DISAPPEAR Magically laugh
Confirmed here on multiple systems:
PIV 3.6, Windows XP-SP2
PIII 466 Xandros linux (with Crossweaver for Windows compatability)
PII 266 Windows 98

All systems running 768M RAM

Note: The faster the system, the harder I found it to reproduce.
I can't reproduce this even when the taskbar button is directly next to the icon in the tray. No matter how fast I click the icon will not disappear.

XP Home + SP2, mIRC 6.16
I wasn't able to replicate this bug, but there are programs available to fix the problem until the bug is fixed. A quick search turned up "shidewin" (page) which will list windows and allow them to be hidden/unhidden.

Its hard to explain how it works, sometimes if the window is in the middle of being opened but is slow to do so, and you try hide it again - its gone.

But its defo a bug ><

Works like a charm smile
I' have also been able to reproduce this, though not on purpose, sometimes when my computer slows down because of some program wasting CPU mIRC just disappears completely. Not even in Tasklist, so I just reopen it up. ;x
If you just DOUBLE CLICK on the icon in your task bar it will reappear. i can screen shot if ppl think im not tellin the truth.
