I have downloaded mIRC and after installing it I received the following message from my antivirus (kaspersky lab):" Access to the object C:\Program Files\mIRC\mirc.exe is blocked. Object is infected with a virus "not-a-virus:Client-IRC.Win32.mIRC.616. You are advised to delete this object.". Could somebody give me some advice? It blocks the mirc.exe file and I can't run the program.

Contact Kaspersky and tell them that mIRC may well be packed into some trojans but that doesn't make it a malicious program, and that they shouldn't make their program so sensitive. Or, if they are, just prevent people from using Internet Explorer as they are more likely to make more of an impact by doing so smirk

In other words this is not an mIRC bug and Khaled can't do much about it. It's your antivirus's fault.

"Your computer is infected with 'W32:WindowsXP' It is recommended that you delete the problem file(s) and install Linux immediately."

Basically it means if you installed it yourself in the location shown, don't worry, if you have never installed it (in that folder, usually windows\system32) then you should delete it and may be infected with a virus or trojan. Some trojans install a basic mIRC somewhere to receive orders for bad stuff, and thus it can be an indication for infection.
