Not sure if this is a bug but saw it and was curious. When I open the /channel dialog you get the ban list right away. Well the raw data is like
#help *!*@IRCstorm-E3652DEB.losaca.adelphia.net set by IRCstorm (Mon Aug 01 21:47:33)
What I see in the window tho is
*!*@IRCstorm-E3652DEB.losaca.adelphia.net set by IRCstorm(bot@ircstorm.net) Aug 1st 9:47pm
Just curious where does it get the host info? Since the actual numeric doesnt show that.
As far as I can see (looking at EFnet/DALnet anyway), the raw does contain the user@host of the person that set the ban. Were you looking at /debug info?
Examples:
DALnet: <- :slimey.uk.eu.dal.net 367 Mentality #mirc *!*TurkRock@* GuardianX!mircbot@help.mirc.org 1122983030
EFnet: <- :irc.kagmir.ca 367 Mentality #mirc *!*@cache5-2.jed.isu.net.sa BluFire!blufire@hydra.lod.us 1121122774
Regards,
It seems you have a script that outputs the ban list when it is sent to mIRC.
Each time you open the /channel window, mIRC requests the ban list from the server. mIRC hides this from you, unless you have a script that outputs that for you. The information you are seeing has been formatted by a script, and is definatly not server raw information.
Try using /channel with your remotes turned off (/!remote off), and it shouldn't appear.
If mIRC actually sees the ban being set it will include the address if given with the message prefix, regardless of whether your network tracks this information. When you say you "get the ban list right away", I guess mIRC is already synchronised with all modes.
Hope this helps
-> fjc.ircstorm.net mode #help +b
<- :fjc.ircstorm.net 367 Random #help *!*@IRCstorm-E3652DEB.losaca.adelphia.net IRCstorm 1122950853
<- :fjc.ircstorm.net 368 Random #help :End of Channel Ban List
Is the raw output, This isnt an undirsable action was just curious
That's down to the ircd, not mIRC.
When I use /channel on that network, the channel dialog does not contain the user@host.
