Lovely bug found, never seen it discussed before. In your options on the general branch you have a setting for the command prefix which by default is set to /. Change this to something else, ' for example, and as expected, 'me tests works. However, guess what, so does /me tests. Kinda pointless to have this option when the reason for changing it would be so that you can paste something such as this:

root@dimensions:/var/log# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
/dev/ad0s1a 63M 35M 23M 61% /
/dev/ad2s1e 770M 141M 567M 20% /home
/dev/ad0s1e 63M 16K 58M 0% /tmp
/dev/ad0s1g 1.2G 701M 442M 61% /usr
/dev/ad0s1f 126M 12M 104M 11% /var
procfs 4.0K 4.0K 0B 100% /proc

No, don't bother telling me to use /say. That's backwards and it removes the space formatting for it just as this message board does.

All you have to do is hold down the Ctrl key when you hit Enter to paste it all into the window at one time.

So let me get this right... That's Ctrl-Enter-Shift-Insert?

Try again. I said pasting. The Crtl-Enter is only good for one line at a time.

shift+insert doesn't work
ctrl+shift+insert works fine
ctrl+v works fine

Woah! I stand amazed ;-) This would have saved me mass grief pertaining to mIRC over the many years I've used it, heh

Love the Ctrl-Shift-Insert, but still doesn't change the fact that the Command prefix option doesn't work ;-)

From the helpfile (/help General)
Quote:

Command Prefix
The default standard prefix to a command is a / character, however you can specify another character if the / key is hard to access on your keyboard.

Note: Regardless of the character you choose here, mIRC still recognizes the / character and uses it internally.

Hrmmmm..... Kind of pointless if you ask me, but oh well... Given that Ctrl-Shift-Insert works it makes no difference to me.

Cheers,
GregMo
