"pipe" bug ! - 03/07/04 11:10 PM
hi all ! a weird bug were found a few days ago, on picwin.tk.
first, akio sent a picwin game named Pipes, the .mrc file is "pipe.mrc".
now i'll just quote the user of the site :
Knippy : "I was unable to get it to function. When I loaded it, nothing came in my mIRC editor. When I pasted it into it, then typed /pipes (or whatever the alias) the window came up, but if i tried clicking, i'd get an error in status."
wineglass : "Same problem here, under XP that is- i loaded it up on the 98 machine without any problems."
DukeNukem : "Heheh, you know, that's really, really weird
You guys, try to make ANY file with the name pipe.mrc and try to load it... It just won't work! It's the same with INI, BMP or any other file... It just seems that mIRC can't retrieve files named "pipe" under win xp
Maybe that's a reserved word in mIRC... But still, seems to happen only under win XP... Maybe we should tell Khaled about that?"
