DCC gets through http proxies has always beet a problem with mIRC,, as it completely ignores the proxies during DCC gets... This problem with mIRC makes me unwantingly use some other IRC client ( like .IRC ) which do not have problems with DCC gets through http proxies.
I think this bug should be taken as "really high priority" and fixed ASAP,, as there are tons of people around who connect to the internet via an http proxy...

Yes this has been done.. DCC chats work but mIRC fails ( times out ) during a get .. Thats the whole reason this is a really serious bug.. People behind http proxies just cannot get files... I Wonder how this has'nt been fixed in the 9 years since mIRC was born..

I guess how bad the glitch is, is dependant on if you are using a proxy because you have to, or to evade a server ban.
But coming on here, threatening to use some other irc client if the problem isnt fixed, really doesnt concern Khaled, in fact, he suggests you use them if you do not like mIRC. I can only recall 2 times i have heard of this error: 1 from you, and 1 from RuFy, in this thread. Problems get fixed in the order that Khaled chooses to fix them, which in most cases is the order finds them, or we find them and tell him, or in the rare case of an exploit, which is fixed within about 3 days to 1 week.
Im not trying to chew you out, i am trying to show you how to get the problem fixed, ask nicely, things work out better that way.
Just for the information ( no offence ) the number of people on the internet behind proxies do contribute to a considerably large percentage ( i.e. all sorts of institutions , companies etc. ) and relatively people behind proxies just for evading server bans are very few..

I mean no offence to you either.. I think I was very nice on the post,, and the whole tone refelected the severity of the problem..
I am even more sure that khaled understands this and the problem will be fixed in the next releases..
