The list has no vertical scroll bar (missing WS_VSCROLL?).

/dcc trust does not automatically save mirc.ini with added trusted user, but only if added via Options dialogs.

True, although I'm unsure if it's bug or rather just something which has been overlooked and perhaps a feature suggestion. That need not be debated though, I think it really should be added in smile

Semi-confirmed. I can add Trusted entries via the /dcc trust command, however, they are not being added until I open the options dialog and then close it again, then re-open mIRC.ini - the entry is then added.

...so, it's not mandatory to be added through the options dialog, but the entry doesn't seem to be added in mirc.ini until the options dialog is opened. I haven't tried just restarting mIRC although that probably works.

/dcc trust nickname
/saveini

Not sure here, but shouldn't mIRC do that without the user having to manually do /saveini?

This was brought up before with the aop/avoice/etc lists doing the same thing (just to refresh people's minds - you were the last replier).

Indeed, I think both you and Raccoon stated very good points in this thread and it seems to me that this is yet another "6 of one, half a dozen of the other" situations.

I don't know if it's possible, but perhaps if you try adding something to an INI file (such as this case) and you add to it more than once within 10 seconds of each other, a "backlog" will be formed so mIRC adds it to the INI file in a "safe" time frame to prevent HD grinding...something for future versions perhaps?

I really don't think new users (or even people who have been using mIRC for ages, such as me!) will realise you would have to use /saveini, or even that the command they were using was adding to an INI file in the first place. I've only just worked it out now (the saveini thing, not the use of INI files to save data ) because it's something which I haven't noticed, and haven't been affected by, before.

Then again I suppose that discussion which took place ages ago about the use of a different filetype than INI could apply here too.

My 2 cents.
