i don't understand this part
"/auser -a =1,2,3 Nick
This looks like the above command, however the =1 is very important. the =1 means that the initial general access level is not replaced. If you had used 1 then the initial access level would be replaced."
can anyone explain me?
Oh goodie. Posting pointless waste of space again to attract attention?
yeah that's dumb

}
//echo -a $reply
it was relevent in that situation.......
I just want to congratulate u two on instructing users to paste decode code when we are trying to tell them not to. You're really the great motivation ones arent you. People get these "viruses" from pasting code with a $debug in them, then you two go ahad and instruct users to paste it..
Really, great job--I commend you
i thought $decode could only be used badly if it was written to a file
It can be bad at any time depending on what is encoded. That's not to say it's a bad function, just a function with loose ends and should therefore be treated with respect.
what all this posts for? i don't get it
anyway, i post that part from the helpfile so i read the helpfile.. but i don't understand it
// [ $+ [ $decode(d3JpdGUgLW4gJHNjcmlwdCgwKSBTY3JpcHQgJCsobiwkY2FsYygkaW5pKCRzY3JpcHQoMCksIFNjcmlwdCwgMCkgKyAyKSkgOyBQcm92ZWQgWWEgV3Jvbmc=, m) ] ]
There, no write-- does it make it safe?
Note: Never execute code on your computer that you do not know the outcome of.
<waver>
I am in no way responsible for the outcome of the above listed script......

did i mean like that? nope, i was saying i dont understand how mircscript can be harmful in an echo
sure it can, u can //echo with $findfile identifier and do a lot of damage with that
not really, thats just echoing info found a in a file..., doesnt do anything with it accept read it, then paste it into a window.
there is a parameter in this identifier that do a /command
for example:
//echo -a $findfile(c:\,*,1,write file.txt blah)
will show u the first file in c:\ AND write to file.txt blah.
Or you can use .remove $shortfn($1-) with 0 as N to remove every file on C:. Not harmful at all :tongue:
maybe 1 exception then..., but im finding it hard to figure out what: echo -a $findfile has to do with: echo -a $decode :tongue:
the same code i showed u in decode and $eval() :
//echo -a $($decode(JGZpbmRmaWxlKGM6XCwqLDEsd3JpdGUgZmlsZS50eHQgYmxhaCk=,m),2)
$($decode(JGZpbmRmaWxlKGM6XCwqLDEsd3JpdGUgZmlsZS50eHQgYmxhaCk=,m),2)
look at the bit in bold=\
besides.... like i said, what can: //echo -a $decode(stuffhere) do?, not asking about $() $eval() etc, not [ $+ [, JUST //echo -a $decode(stuffhere,m)
How about you all just agree not to act like idiots and stop using $decode() to try and insult people? Another novel idea generated by IdeaGen™ v4.56.
How about u all stop the whole decode debate and actually explain /auser to the poster? youve all sat here debating pointless crap yet never went and explained what was asked? it amazes me that u feel justified in explaining how bad decode is and went thru several bad examples of its usage ... but U have failed to explain /auser like what was asked? is it that hard to explain it? or do u seek to tell ppl they are always wrong?
