Using MS Agents in mirc under windows 7 - 13/09/13 08:07 PM
Just an FYI for folks.
Microsoft did release a "hotfix" to get ms agents working on windows 7.
I have applied this hotfix (windows 7 home current level service pack) and agents will work. However, what is missing is the ability for the different agents to have individual 'voices'.
I can live with this and my "agentsdemo" script for mIRC (uses Merlin, Genie, and Peedy) It works, but they each use the default 'voice' set in windows.
I doubt windows will 'resolve' this issue since they are dropping agents.
It does (however) mean that 'enable speech' in mIRC does work, which (for support of visually impaired) is critical.
