Ok, thanks to dcc send/chat being able to also use ip:port instead of nick, I have been able to make some nice workarounds for firewall issues. But I still have one. /fserve will not work as easily. I tried "/fseerve ip:port" instead of nick (+all the rest of the syntax [maxgets] [welcome file] etc etc) and it only establishes a dcc chat session. No fserve frown
Im happy it connects, and I am very happy dcc send/chat will work, but fserve is starting to really pay a heavy load onto my ongoing headache smile [Stupid firewalls]
How would be the best way of working this on a if/else situation. (example if firewall. do it this tricky way, if no firewall...then just normal fserv nick etc etc etc format).

Thanks ^_^

/dccserver [+|-scf] [on|off] [port]

You can Send/Chat to the DCC Server using the DCC Send/Chat dialogs and specifying an IP address instead of a nickname.

From the command line, you can use /dcc [send|chat|fserve] with an IP Address instead of a nickname to initiate a connection to the DCC Server.

Note: /dcc fserve only works for IP address connections and does not work via IRC.

so it would be /dcc fserve instead of /fserve,
Ill try that
/dcc fserve ip:port maxgets dirpath welcomefile

Thanks ^_^

That doiesnt work.
"/dcc fserve 24.234.132.251:59 99 $r.set(Fserve. [ $+ [ 1 ] ] ,Root.Dir))"

From a normal connection you get :
DCC Chat session
Client: 24.234.132.251 (59)
Time: Wed Feb 26 15:18:52 2003
Waiting for acknowledgement...
Service unavailable
DCC session closed

From a firewall based system you get :
DCC Chat session
Client: corey.cmts.sth.ptd.net (59)
Time: Tue Feb 25 16:01:35 2003
Waiting for acknowledgement...
Service unavailable
DCC session closed

or

DCC Chat session
Client: CPE00606734a0de-CM.cpe.net.cable.rogers.com (59)
Time: Tue Feb 25 16:21:57 2003
Waiting for acknowledgement...
Unable to resolve address
Unable to connect
DCC session closed

Actually what it loooks like you have to do is do it via dcc chat windows instead of a fserve window. And use that to emulate an fserve window. But how the heck do you bring a directory into a dcc chat window that allows the user to manuever in >_<. This is SO confusing its not funny anymore frown

At this rate im just going to give up. I am going to look for somone who knows how to do this, give them the fserv scripts an have them make a dcc chat version of them. >_<
