$prefix should return (ohv)@%+, not just @%+. If any new prefixes are introduced, you wont know which mode it is.

There is an undocumented identifier $nickmode that will return the other part.

how many other undocumented identifiers / aliasses are there ? and how did you find out about them ?

If it returns something you don't know, ask someone. It's what I did when I suddenly encountered a %. (being a dalnet/efnet geek, I never heard of em since those nets don't have halfop).
