Can a feature be added to allow custom aliases to be used when you are not connected to a server.

You should be able to use a custom aliases when you aren't connected. If the alias uses server commands such as /who or /msg then you might not be able to fully utilize it but it must at least run something if you have commands in it. Are you sure the alias exists when an error is thrown?
