When you are receiving a file and get disconnected from the internet, it would be nice to just hit a resume button after you reconnect to the internet. Otherwise, you have to remember what trigger was used to resume the download.
XDCC (which appears to be what you are talking about) is a script, not part of mIRC. mIRC can NOT control how those scripts work.
Like codemastr said, you're probably speaking of the Fserve, XDCC or TDCC systems, which are not totally mirc-dependent.
Moreover, if you want to resume a file you're receiving using DCC:
- Popup mIRC's options (Alt+O), click on DCC in the left panel, then on the right, select Resume for the option "If file exists". (this may be a combo box or radio cases depending on what version of mIRC you use).
If you don not plan to always resume files, you can select "Ask" instead...
- Then in a DCC, just click on the "?" button near the edit box (where your download path shows) and point to your (incomplete) file, click "OK", then "Accept".
Now:
If you chose Resume in mIRC's options, the transfer will resume from where it stopped.
If you chose Ask in mIRC's options, a dialog will popup asking you what to do: Resume, Overwrite or Rename file... this is up to you now ;o
Hope it helps...
