i think it would be great if mirc was to have a video box for dialogs(just like an icon box) except play avi and mpeg files smile
something like did -id /splay blah.avi

yes i think it would be nice, but /vplay ;-)

With mdx you could play only soundless avi files :-(

mdx can do soundless avi, besides--mirc is a program for a text-only protocol Why the hell would you be watching a movie while chatting on irc. Don't know about all of you, but i can't keep my eyes on both. Sound is different, as you can read and listen at the same time, but videos its either-or. You want to watch a mpg that bad, get ouy wmplayer.

Well for dialogs it could be nice, somehting like the IE avi where it takes the piece of paper from the globe and chucks it into a folder. That could be useful for some scripts. However with /vplay I agree it's not really for IRC.

everyone to their own opinion smile

Looks like a good idea...
It should be part of the /did command too - not a /vplay command or whatever...
(why create something new when you can make it using something older?)

But I still agree with you guys, this would be really great! smile
