Hi folks,

Has there ever been any talk of porting mIRC to Linux? There is a desperate need for a decent IRC client for this OS.

It would not need to been open source, and could continue to be a shareware product.

Thanks for any future comments!

DLLs should work just as well. The ones I've run all work quite well under wine.

Check out the WineHQ Database entry for mIRC: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=12568

Specifically, use WineTricks to get some things, such as Riched32.

Also, to fix the list redraw issues, I've written a script: http://code.google.com/p/winefix/source/browse/trunk/winefix.mrc
