When all the irc server will support encrypted mode and mIRC too ..
Like Https and Http .. Need to do Irc and Ircs ..
All the passwords and talk can be sniffed shocked ..

Hi Adrenalin... yes it would be nice if mIRC supported SSL natively, but until then, you can always use a wrapper for your connection.

Same goes for IRCd admins (link) if they're interested in offering the service. smile

Well there is a "nicer" way than stunnel. There is a dll called stuntour. http://www.bovine.net/~jlawson/coding/stuntour/

It isn't perfect, and it still does have some problems, but the nice thing is it integrates with mIRC. For example I type /server some.ssl.server 6697 and stuntour auto takes over and connects using SSL rather than a regular connection. It is definately worth a look.

for some reason stuntour doesnt work here

the file exists, so I dont know what the problem is.
<edit> running on windows 98 FE so no problem with file permissions </edit>
