mIRC 6.2 (with the FiSH extension added)
2109440 bytes -> 881664 bytes
or 2.01mb -> 861 kb

mIRC 6.3
2756096 -> 1126400
or 2.63mb -> 1.07mb

As you can see, it compresses it to be over 50% smaller (40.8% for 6.3, 41.8% for 6.2). And an IRC client with the scripting capabilities mIRC has for around a meg would make it more attractive to sites like TinyApps that cater to small filesizes.

I agree. Khaled should use a packer to make the filesize smaller and obfuscate the code to help stop people from releasing patched versions of mIRC like the FiSH patch.

mIRC may not be distributed in any form other than the original installer, and the installer already uses compression internally.
